FERTILISER
A balanced supply of nutrients is the basis of sustainable crop production. Only if all plant nutrients are available to plants in the required form and quantity can high yields and good qualities of plant products be achieved without one-sided nutrient losses such as nitrate leaching. A decisive role is played by the optimum soil pH value. If the soil pH is optimally adjusted to the respective soil type, all nutrients present in the soil are available to plants, i.e. absorbable by the plant. Especially the trace nutrients are fixed in the soil under extreme pH conditions (strongly acidic or strongly basic) and are no longer available for plant growth.
Apart from soils on base parent rock, soils in Central and Northern Europe tend to acidify. Alone due to CO2 dissolved in rainwater, precipitation has an acidifying effect which is further enhanced due to emissions from industry, transport, domestic heating and animal husbandry, and acidifying nitrogen fertilisers. Fertilisers made from iron slag have been used for over 100 years to balance natural and anthropogenic soil acidification due to their effective base components. Furthermore, these fertilisers provide crops with the important main nutrients calcium, magnesium and phosphorus, and also contain important trace nutrients (e.g. Mn, Zn, Cu, etc.) and useful elements (Si and Se), which are absolutely necessary for healthy plant growth and high quality crop products.

Analysis and labelling
In order to place fertilisers made from iron slag on the market in compliance with the law and to be able to use them optimally, the value-giving constituents must be precisely known. We analyse your fertilisers for reactivity and base effectiveness, the content of main and trace nutrients and useful elements. We also determine the sieveing/screenng process in accordance with the specifications of the German Fertiliser Ordinance. With our expertise we support you in the evaluation of analytical results and the preparation of product labelling for correct marketing as well as in the development of new products. Thus, to prove the efficacy of your products, we offer design and coordination of vessel and field trials and also analyse the soil and plant samples obtained in the trials.
